HCLN is back in business! HCLN is back in business! Programs are underway at the Captain William Spry, Halifax North, Keshen Goodman and Central Library with the Spryfield GED class starting soon. Please call or email us to start your learning journey. In June, we celebrated with program year-end parties. HCLN programs are up and running for another busy program year. Hearth Bakery was established in 1982 with a mandate to operate a retail and wholesale bakery while providing work skills training for people suffering from emotional and mental health difficulties. In 1992 the bakery closed briefly due to financial difficulties. Later that year HRDA, now MetroWorks. Seized the opportunity to purchase the bakery and continue with the work skills adjustment program. The place as a whole is a training facility .
